1. The main point of the What Entrepreneurs can learn from Artists article was to show the importance of having a wide range of thinking and understanding in the business world. Artists tend to consider a ton of things when looking at a problem but in the business world many men and women have gotten stuck thinking way, way too inside the box.
2. Artists can learn that sometimes we have to appease the market before we can really try to sell our super personal art just so we can get on the consumers radar.
3. I definitely agree that artists are entrepreneurs on a basis that we are faced with a problem and have to come up with a way to solve it that is worthy of getting people’s attention. We both build, artists with canvas and paint, clay, and wood, while entrepreneurs build companies and ideas and technologies. Both of which require a consumer that we have to convince to buy our products.
4. I definitely agree with the fact that artists are humanists, craftspeople for sure. I would say 90 percent of us are definitely like children. We also usually rely on our intuition, but I do not think most of us are comfortable with ambiguity but to an extent. It is incredibly true that we are holistic thinkers, and that constraints can actually pull us to an incredible artistic discovery within ourselves. We like the challenge of being give guides to create around. I also agree with us being contrarians, passionate about our work, and the fact that we are great storytellers.
5. I would add that we are able to sort out other ways to do something if the obvious way is impossible or just flat out not working. Where many people are completely frustrated when the “only way” doesn’t work and then completely give up on it as if there isn’t another possible way of making it work.

GRIT:
1. My grit situation is kind of strange, because I don’t have interest in something for long amounts of time but I always come back and finish them eventually. That’s honestly how I’m feeling about college right now because I lose momentum when something is dragging too hard so instead of finishing something for the sake of knowing I finished it without stopping I much prefer giving it a little break and then coming back later with fresh eyes and more inspiration. Things are almost more exciting that way for me.
2. Something I could do to be more gritty is push through things just to feel like a badass and know I did it for me because I can. I’m feeling pretty gritty this semester though because I have only taken 9 hours for the last 5 semesters mad this semester I finally decided to go headfirst and take 16 hours.
