TONIGHT! Author Kelsey Timmerman Discusses Food Justice and His Latest Book, “Where Am I Eating?”

On October 3rd from 7:00-9:00 P.M. in the Recreation and Convocation Center Gym, please join us for a talk given by the Freshman Studies Common Theme speaker, author Kelsey Timmerman. Timmerman is a journalist who decided to trace where his food came from, beginning when he traveled to Columbia to see where his Starbucks coffee was grown and who picked it. His book, “Where Am I Eating?” raises questions about a variety of topics relevant to various disciplines including farm workers’ rights, sustainability, health and nutrition, corporate responsibility, globalization, hunger, and modern slavery.
