Thank you to the Graphic Design area; student designer Logan Stallings, project manager Professor Tuan Phan, and the design class that hand assembled each program.

SOURCE, St. Edward’s-specific symposium where undergraduates present their original research and creative work is this Friday, April 13, 9am to 3pm, Mabee rooms & Jone Aud.   Every year St. Edward’s University hosts SOURCE to give outstanding student researchers, artists, and designers a chance to showcase their most insightful and impressive work. Come be a witness. Support student research. Open to all university students, faculty, and staff. Poster session includes lunch 12pm to 1pm.

SOURCE abstract submissions are now closed. Thank you to all the students who applied.  The submissions will now be sent to faculty volunteers for review. SOURCE presenter announcements will be Monday, March 19, 2018.

SOURCE abstract submissions are now open! Students can submit their abstracts by using the following link, 2018  Abstract Submissions

The Symposium for Undergraduate Research & Creative Expression is a St. Edward’s University signature event. Every year SEU hosts SOURCE to give outstanding student researchers, artists, and designers a chance to showcase their most insightful and impressive work. Presentations and posters span the fields studied at St. Edward’s, from Biology to Theater Arts and Psychology to English Writing. During this one-day symposium students present their research and creative works at oral, poster, lightning, and roundtable sessions.

Information for Students:

Students must meet with their faculty mentor to have their abstract approved. Refer to the Presentation Guidelines Tab to learn how to format your abstract.  Students should also discuss selecting the appropriate type of presentations, oral, poster, lightning, or roundtable. Students who apply and have their research selected are expected to participate not only as a presenter but also as an attendee, viewing peer conference sessions, having lunch during the Poster session (12pm to 1pm), and attending the closing Harald Becker High Tea (3:30pm to 4:00pm). While we appreciate that students have busy lives this is a prestigious event and we would like students to allow some time for the symposium as appropriate. Students are encouraged to invite guests. So mark your calendar, Friday, April 13, SOURCE begins at 9am. Early entry submissions are due Monday, February 19, final abstract deadline Monday, February 26. Students will be informed of the status of their applications by Monday, March 19. Information for Faculty:

Are you a faculty member who is conducting research projects with students? Do you know a student who has or is currently engaged in research or creative works? Then encourage your mentee to submit an abstract for the 2018 symposium. Faculty mentors should guide their students in selecting the appropriate type of presentations, oral, poster, lightning, or roundtable.  We cordially invite members of the St. Edward’s community, including faculty, staff, students, and guests to the 2017 SOURCE one-day symposium of oral, lightning, poster, and roundtable presentations.  This event is this Friday, April 7, 9am to 3pm in Ragsdale Center, Mabee Ballroom and Jones Auditorium.  Please come support this St. Edward’s-specific symposium in which undergraduates present their original research and creative works.  This event is free and open to the public.  Lunch will be served during the poster presentations, 12pm to 1pm in Mabee B.
