Nearing the End of my Public Relations Internship
I acquired this internship through meeting the right person at the right time, I am not sure if it was luck or destiny; I think a lot of public relations is being able to network with the right people. I am coming to the end of my time with the company I intern for; this coming week will be my last. As I reflect on my time at the company I am happy to say that it was a great experience and I learned a lot. As only a sophomore in college I am glad that I started my stretch of internships early in my college career. If I have any advice for someone looking to do an internship it would be to start as early as possible. I will really miss the people and opportunities that I have come to know. Being in an internship has taught me invaluable lessons not only in work related aspects but also in life. I have learned to have a serious love for watching dishes and making coffee, two things I am sure will come in handy later in life. On the other hand I have learned so many other things like being able to talk to people efficiently both face to face and on the phone. This internship has most of all taught me that being able to persevere through hard times is a valuable skill in any work place.
