i think this course was very insightful but at the same time it was hard to be engaged. i think the points that were trying to be made were great but there were always so many presentations and it was hard to be engaged in class. after a while it just felt boring. i do think that some of the guest speakers were very interesting and i was excited to see but most didn’t even catch my eye and couldn’t keep my attention.

i thought each faculty presentation gave great insight in jobs and roles they provide here, i couldn’t help but get lost in some of their topics but i did my best to listen and thought the over all presentation was good.

my five year plan is that by the end of those five years i finish college. im set back a little so in that time i need to keep up with my goals and life in order to pass certain mile stones.

year 1- keep up with my job and pass my classes. learn about photography and start keeping a journal.

year 2- be able to have passed all classes and continue to pass all classes. have my 2 projects done and also start interning somewhere for a photography position.

year 3- keep passing classes. start saving money. start a new paid job using my journal writings as ideas of where to go and what experience i have.

year 4- graduate and keep up with my regular job and paid photography job.

year 5- use money saved up since year 3 to buy a place in town. begin job for major that incorporates the experience from my photography jobs and also have two pieces of my art made public and well recognized.

the speakers we had on Monday seemed to know a lot about making mobile games and the whole industry itself. there was a game designer, artist and overall lead of it. i thought they definitely gave a good insight on how the whole job works and the different jobs there are to the whole project. i learned how they made games not to be the best but to understand the demand why some elements in other games work and what elements in there game didn’t work.

have students ever talked to you and you thought they were on some type of drug?

for all the presenters i saw last class i felt a sense of dread as i had not thought about how far long on what i really want t do with my future. i liked at the photographers work and what they created with a magazine and i realized that i want to do something like that. i want to create things that  think have meaning. i want to see more of clubs that focus around photography and being connected.

This is one of my computer science assignments and it was to make a password and username and if you got it correct it would say access granted and also if you enter a sentence it will tell you the amount of times the letter A is used. i went about reaching this goal by using my book and asking my friend to help me.

Self critique:

  1. the strongest aspect of this work is the work itself. you have to know where and how to put everything so specifically that it runs on a computer.
  2. that it was a lot of work but all it does is a username, password and a letter counter.
  3. i can make it easier to understand by making some coding look simple.
  4. i can make my project more user friendly
  5. i am proud of my work but i think it can always be improved.
