Visu Sem Blog Post #6: Skill Inventory

SKILLS INVENTORY

My greatest strengths in Visual Studies include my understanding of Photoshop and other Adobe programs, as well as my artistic perspective grows beyond just photography. For future success I plan on challenging myself by further exploring the depths of these programs and experimenting with them to produce cooler images. In addition I plan to make the extra effort to get really cool shots.

My greatest strengths in Photography 1 are my skills with digital photography that transfer to film photography including producing well-exposed photographs. As I spend more time in the dark room I become more comfortable with the process and to continue to have great success in the class I plan on spending a lot of time in the lab to get really good at producing strong prints.

Computer skills:

My computer skills include Photoshop, Camera Raw, InDesign, and Premiere as well as other computer skills to manage multiple types of technology.

Research & writing skills:

My greatest strengths as a researcher/writer include outlining and working to get all of my ideas out on paper, then my skills of researching include differentiating the quality of the sources. I need to work on finding strong sources and annotating them to find the most important aspects to create and support a strong argument. I need to work on editing and revising papers to become clearer and concise. I learn best when I explore ideas in a visual manner because of my visual eye as well as when I’m in a positive environment that includes dialogue and discussion.
