  • World History Compass – if you click on Europe, you will find important links to Russia, the former Soviet Union, and East Europe. You may also click on Persia/Iran or Africa for links to South African sites.
  • The World Wide Virtual Library – provided by University of Florence
  • Hyperhistory Online Project – This is an excellent site for timelines and information on events and important historical figures. You need to click on “hyperhistory online,” and you will be able to vie timelines and maps, and find out other pertinent information about almost anywhere in the world.
  • Eurodocs – This is an excellent source of various primary documents in European and Eastern European History.
