Jim Lee is a prominent Comic Book Artist, and has been since 1987 during his debut with marvel comic. His first ‘big’ title he illustrated was “The Uncanny X-Men” and began to build his popularity. As most artists do Lee moved through several companies, from Marvel, to Image, and finally to his current home, DC Comics. Since “The New 52”, a DC reboot, launched in 2011, Lee has been illustrating and co-writing multiple titles each month. Lee has won 3 ‘Wizard Fan Awards’ for favorite Penciller. My favorite work by him is a cover he did for “Infinite Crisis”, A DC comic storyline. The cover features Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman, preparing for battle, while other heroes and villains fight in the background. The emphasize on the three heroes in the front is important because they are the main three involved in the story.

Time Management and Creative Work

As I tracked my time this last week, I have found that I am a huge procrastinator and very bad at managing my time. I spend far too much time watching TV and not enough working on what I need to get done for school and for my own benefit. I need to improve my study habits and get away from the bad habits I am stuck in now.

These creative pieces are good examples of my work as a whole.

In my photographing, I found that I was strongly attracted to anything with color. It made things stand out against their mostly dull backgrounds. I found beauty in the contrast. In all of my favorite pictures, that was a constant. The bright colors are all present, as well as their less colorful backdrop.

Where is creativity found? This question is answered by Amy Tan in many ways, from where she found it in her own experiences as and author and artist, but also where is is found in history and everyday life. Creativity is found all round us, and in all people around us. Nothing in our world is free of at least some creativity.

The essay about design was also a good example of design ( a form of creativity) being all around us. It has been around forever and has changed with time, culture and technology. Some aspects of design are neglected as technology advances, but real design involves less technology and more intuition and human creativity.
