In this project I tried to incorporate principles we have studied over the last few weeks. I did not put much thought into color scheming the collages, but I did have a focus in lines, similarity, and texture. The subjects of both collages are photos I shot and the rest of the collage primarily consists of magazine cut-outs or textured elements.

The first collage primarily focuses on lines and bold colors. I wanted to contradict the subject, which is a homeless woman, with a bright and bold background. I did not particularly aim for a certain color scheme- just colors that would stand out and clash with the bleak homeless woman.

My second contains a symmetrical relationship and contrast between the numbers and background. I tried to control the color in the collage to be fairly dark since the subject was cigarette in hand. I aimed for the numbers to be bold and contrasting.
