Senate Executive Committee (SEC)

The Senate Executive Committee represents the senate interests in monthly meetings with the Provost and serves as the leadership team of the senate. See faculty manual for full description.

Membership: The committee includes the President of the Senate along with the Vice President, Secretary, and Documentarian. The Senate President serves in 2-year term increments and is elected by the assembly. The President presides at Senate, Collegium, and Assembly meetings and chairs the SEC. The Vice -President is elected yearly by the Senate from its full-time tenured and tenure-track faculty and chairs the Faculty Elections and Appointments Committee (FEAC). The Secretary is elected yearly by the Senate from its full-time tenured and tenure-track faculty and keeps minutes of Senate, Collegium, and Assembly meetings. The Documentarian is elected yearly by the Senate from its full-time tenured and tenure-track faculty and maintains and updates the faculty governance webpage and faculty meetings documents archive.
