EDUC 2332: Educational Technology

Course Goals:

• Understanding the historical and present context of using technology for teaching and learning.
• Developing an understanding of how digital technologies function in society and in education.
• Demonstrating proficiency in operating various technologies and their adaptations in the classroom.
• Experiencing what it is like to be a student in the ‘participatory culture’ of the Internet and other digital technologies.
• Developing a critical framework for evaluating technology uses in educational contexts.
• Demonstrating a proficiency in developing quality curriculum that appropriately infuses technology, not merely as an add-on, but as a vital part of the lesson.
