PART 1

The visiting speakers were Nate Austin and Anne Austin. They are creators and developers of their game called Wildermyth. Specifically Nate is the programmer and Anne designs and creates the set of the game. They spent a lot of time getting to this stage, the “pre-alpha” stage of their game. I learned that creating and designing a game is not easy, even though the output result is all nice and shiny and professional, a lot of work goes into designing that. I didn’t know that the developers needed to think of literally everything like how the lighting is, what takes up the negative space that most people don’t even notice, and what type of colors work well together in the game.

Is there anything exciting or life changing that you hope to do in the future? Or is being a professor at St. Ed’s it?
