King Saudi Bin Abdulaziz

  • Second King Of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
  • He was a king for 11 years 1953-1964
  • well-known as the most generous king
  • He had intentions to fix the country economically

Reflection:

King Saud was the most generous king that Saudis have ever had. Everyone in the country loved him,  His era as a king, Saudi Arabia faced a lot of development in the country Education-wise. For example, during his era, Saudi Arabia had opened the first university in the country “King Saud University” which is one of the most important universities in the region nowadays.

Isolated from the authority

  • In 1964, King Faisal ‘the third king’ took a charge of Saudi Arabia
  • King Saud left for Athens.
  • died after 4 years from his isolation
  • all the royal family agreed with this decision.

Reflection:

As I mentioned earlier, King Saud was well known by his generosity. for that reason, all the royal family stepped up and were against him in a lot of decision he made for the country. So all his brothers agreed on removing him from authority and manage the country economically and financially in a right way.

King Abdulaziz Al Saud (The Founder)

  • He had an extreme faith in God.
  • His intentions were to unite all people under the name of God.
  • He attracted all the people of the Arabian Peninsula by his wiseness.
  • Start with Najd area to unite the Kingdom

Reflection:

King Abdulaziz was a smart and wise leader, he knew how to attract the people of Arabia to follow him. He attracted by his strong believe in God and clear intentions. Also, he was a brave man and had a strong authority. He led the first attack on Najd areas while in his 20’s. He started uniting the kingdom area after area. He was beloved by the people of Arabia cause he had a clear goal which was to unite the whole country under the name of God.

  • first drilling for Oil wells in 1936
  • Oil came out in 1937
  • Aramco Company
  • Saudi started to export Oil in 1939

Reflection:

King Abdulaziz took an advantage of the fact that his country is rich with oil. He started dealing with the western countries that have higher tech equipment such the UK and the USA. Finally, King Abdulaziz signed an agreement with Standard Oil of California Company to take a charge of the oil wells in Saudi Arabia. Which has resulted Aramco Company which is American and Saudi Company.
