Did you change your spring break plans because of the virus? From what to what?

Yes. I planned to go on a camping trip with some college friends and visit my grandparents. Now I’m practicing self-quarantining and didn’t get to go on the camping trip or see my grandparents for fear of getting and spreading the virus.

How did you feel when you were informed the remainder of the semester would be held online?

I was let down because I miss my college buddies and living on campus. I also miss Austin since I’m from a small town and there’s not a lot to do here.

Where will you be living while courses are held online? Is this a change from usual?

I will be living at home.

What has been your experience with moving classes online? What’s good? What’s not so good?

I both like and dislike how much free time I have now since the classes have been moved to online. While I have become more studious, I feel like I’m lacking in other parts of my life (e.i. seeing people in person, going on outings, and exercising less).

How worried are you about getting the virus?

I’m not that worried about getting the virus, and if I do, I still won’t be too worried because I’m pretty healthy and self-quarantining so I can’t spread it.

Do you know anyone who has gotten COVID-19?

No.

Are you staying in? What are you doing to pass the time?

Yes. Netflix and Facetime have become my best friends.

Are you going out? Where do you go and what is it like?

A little. Mostly my front or backyard. I also drive around the city in the evenings and have gone through drivethrus and visited the Walgreens once for necessities.

Is there anything else you’d like to tell us about what you’re feeling or experiencing right now?

I’m already experiencing Cabin Fever but the Spring Break has been nice so far, especially since its been extended to March 29th.
