I haven’t thought past my second year much yet, but I do have a rough idea of what classes I want to take. I want to have a good balance between general education classes and classes towards my major. I think one of the classes I’m looking forward to the most is printmaking, as print demos in Visual Studies have sparked my interest in printing. As I progress, I also want to work as an intern or an apprentice under a professional artist.
Alternatives
I have not fully considered an alternative, as art is what I am meant to do and I have no intention of giving up. However, if I had to choose an alternative, I would most likely switch to graphic design.
Minor
I have considered minoring in photography. My recent exposure (no pun intended) to photography has opened a new dimension of art that I have not explored. I find the very process of photography interesting and I feel as if learning how to compose an image from a photographers point of view would enhance my abstract work.
