Betsy McKinney

Betsy is a senior in the Writing & Rhetoric program and graduates in spring 2018. She worked on the Profile Design Team, helping to create the downloadable profiles for each organization and program. She also researched and wrote articles about Group X and the Outdoor Adventure Club.

 

Bianca Esquivel

Bianca is a junior and will graduate from St. Edward’s in May 2019 with degrees in both writing & rhetoric and psychology. As part of the Web Design Team, she helped design the layout, format, and the navigation system of this site. Bianca researched and wrote articles on Latinitas U and S.E.R.V.E. Austin.

C.J. Shaleesh

C.J. is a junior at St. Edward’s, graduating in May 2019 with a double-major in marketing and writing & rhetoric. She served on the Event Advertising Team, helping to create the posters and digital advertisements for the website and launch event. C.J. researched and wrote articles on the French Club and New Literati.

 

Corinne BatesCorinne

Corinne is a junior in the Writing & Rhetoric program at St. Edward’s and will graduate in 2019. She researched and wrote about It’s On Us and Students for Sustainability. Corinne also worked on the Event Planning Team, helping to organize the launch event for this engagement guide.

 

Elizabeth UclesElizabeth

Elizabeth is a junior Writing & Rhetoric major at St. Edward’s and will graduate in May 2019 with a specialization in journalism. She served on the Editing Team, helping copy edit all of the articles on this website. Elizabeth also researched and wrote articles on the Equality and Justice Council and the Living Learning Communities.

 

Eric Anderson  Eric

Eric is a 5th year student graduating in May 2018 with a Bachelor’s degree in writing & rhetoric with a focus in creative writing/fiction. He was the other half of the Editing Team, copy editing all of the articles on this website. Including this. Hi. ♥

Eric researched and wrote articles pertaining to Club Sports on campus, as well as the (LGBT+) Pride club. When Eric isn’t consumed in writing his next novel, he can often be found perfecting gourmet recipes in his kitchen, or out connecting with nature. And yes, those are elk.

 

GabrielleGabrielle Wilkosz

Gabrielle is a class of ’18 Writing & Rhetoric major. In addition to helping design this website, Gabrielle covered Ballet Folklorico and Hilltop Views. Gabrielle is a part-time lover and a full-time friend. Every Sunday she actively debates whether or not to invest $10 in a toaster.

Genevia is a senior. She will be a super-senior, graduating in May ’19. She is a double major in Psychology and Writing & Rhetoric. For this guide, she was a part of the Event Planning team and wrote articles on the Black Student Alliance and Topper Radio. When she isn’t rushing to a meeting, she likes to get lost in books, travel, and regrettably spend too much money on food.

 

HannahHannah McKeating

Hannah is a senior Writing & Rhetoric major at St. Edward’s graduating in May 2018. She was a part of the Profile Design Team and helped create each organization’s downloadable pdf profile. She researched and wrote articles on the Entrepreneurship Club and the Mariachi Band.

 

JordanJordan Ellett

Jordan is working on her post-graduate degree here at St. Edward’s. She currently has a Bachelor’s in nutritional science. She was a part of the Web Design Team, helping to create the page layout for each of the articles on this website. She researched and wrote articles on ATX Hack for Change and the Social Justice Film Series.

 

Jovahana AvilaJovahana

Jovahana is working on a double major in political science and writing & rhetoric and will graduate in May 2019. She is part of the Event Planning Team, where she worked with the logistics of organizing and executing the launch event for this website. Jovahana was excited to research and write articles about League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) and Monarchs on the Hilltop.

 

Julie Chaires  Julie

Julie is a senior at St. Edward’s and will graduate in the summer of 2018. She worked on the Event Advertising Team for this project and helped to create and distribute the advertisements for the launch event and the website itself. Julie also researched and wrote articles about Healthy Hilltoppers Peer Health Educators and the Transfer Student Association.

 

KaliKali Carpenter

Kali is a senior at St. Edward’s in the Writing and Rhetoric program and plans to graduate in May 2018. Kali was one of the Project Coordinators, in which she worked with the other teams to make sure that everyone had what they needed to accomplish their tasks and that the website creation stayed on schedule, as well as create the author bios available on this site. She also researched and wrote articles on B. Hooved humor magazine and the Red Door Society. When Kali doesn’t have her head in a book, you can find her spending time with her nieces and nephews, or hanging around at the Moody Northen theater with her dad and staff member, Joe Carpenter.

 

KendallKendall Shaw

Kendall is a junior at St. Edward’s and will graduate in May 2019 with a degree in writing & rhetoric. She was a part of the Profile Design Team, helping to create downloadable profiles for each organization on the website. Kendall also researched and wrote articles on Command G and The Red Bench.

 

Lilli HimeLilli

Lilli is a junior writing & rhetoric major here at St. Edward’s, where she focuses on creative writing. Lilli served as one of the Project Coordinators and helped manage and communicate with the other teams to make sure the project stayed on target. Lilli researched and wrote about Generation Citizen and Hilltop Leaders, and she created the about project page on this site. When Lilli is not going for her early morning runs or working on her writing, you can find her chilling at Jo’s or hunting down that free food on campus.

 

Lucas Robbins Lucas

Lucas is a junior writing & rhetoric/philosophy double major at St. Edward’s and he will graduate in spring 2019. He worked on the Web Design Team, assisting in a majority of the decisions on the very website that you are currently reading, including the fonts that these words were written with. Beautiful, isn’t it? Lucas researched and wrote articles on Campus Ministries and Topper Tech Talks.

 

MalloryMallory Hicks

Mallory is a junior writing & rhetoric major here at St Edward’s and will graduate in May 2019. She served on the Event Planning Team, helping to execute the launch event. She is super excited about the publication of this guide. Mallory researched and wrote articles on the Electric Ladies Coalition and the University Programming Board. When she’s not working on schoolwork or programming events on campus for the University Programming Board, she’s either napping or loving her friends too much.

 

McKinley Michalowski McKinley

McKinley is a senior at St. Edward’s in the Writing & Rhetoric program and she will graduate in May 2018. She was a part of the Event Advertising Team, helping to create the poster designs that were used to advertise the website’s launch event. She researched and wrote articles about Arete and LeaderShape.

 

Sarah PlainSarah

Sarah is a junior at St. Edward’s and will graduate in May 2019 with a degree in writing & rhetoric. She served on the Profile Design Team, working with individual researchers to gather the information needed for each organization’s downloadable file. She researched and wrote articles on AmericaIWill and the Center for Ethics & Leadership.

Sean is a junior writing & rhetoric Major with a focus in creative writing. He will graduate in spring 2019. He was a part of the Web Design Team, and helped to create this website and design the layout. Sean also researched and wrote articles on the Asian Pop Culture and Chinese Clubs.

Nicole is a senior in the Writing & Rhetoric program at St. Edward’s and plans to graduate in 2018. She specialized in creative writing. Nicole served a part of the Web Design Team and helped to get the website up and running in time for the launch. She researched and wrote articles on Anchors and the Sorin Oak Review.
