Why You Should Start New Goals this Fall…

It’s a new season, and a perfect time to set new goals! What’s not to love about Autumn? It’s the time of year for cozy clothing, warm drinks at any time of day, beautiful colorful crispy leaves, and the smell of pumpkin spice!

This is the perfect time of year to get re-organized, make new plans, refocus, and set a new goal that you wish to accomplish by the end of this year. With the change of the season, it is a chance to start thinking of where you are in life both personally and professionally.

Setting goals in the fall is a good way to get back on track when it seems that the year has gone off the rails. We could all use a fresh start.

Professional Growth

One excellent way to reset professionally is to update your resume or LinkedIn profile. This will ensure you are ready for the next best opportunity that comes knocking. Updating your resume also allows for reflection about where you stand in your career goals

  • How are you feeling about your current profession?
  • Are you looking to advance in your current company or considering new opportunities to explore?
  • When was the last time you did an online course and attended a conference?
  • When was the last time you did something new in your job?

This helps you identify steps to meet your goals. You might want to start looking into learning new skills. Now is a good time to find online courses to participate in to hone a new skill or seek opportunities to grow into a different job role.

 Personal Growth

Whether you are considering new health goals, spiritual growth or emotional self-improvement, consider taking a self-assessment.

  • How am I feeling mentally?
  • How am I feeling physically?
  • What are the things that I like to do but haven’t made time for?

Think about what a good motivation for you might be. Making time to do things that you enjoy is important in the fast-paced world of work and life.
